@jasonlatnar It starts off like an off-the-rack gay romance, but if one knows me, knows that I don't write romance for the sake of it. Of course, there's something else. And this is revealed like the layer of an onion.

If I can spot the trope and predict the ending too soon, I get bored or disappointed. I long for the excitement of not knowing what will happen next that I had watching and reading when I was young. In other words, sign me up!!
